Features of the PSF Heavy Duty Series Foot Operated Impulse Sealers

Bag Sealing Overview and Heat Sealer Operation

The PFS-Series heat sealers are assembled using cast aluminum parts and are designed for heavy duty bag sealing applications. They feature an upgraded power supply and a shelf for assisting with package handling. These machines are ideal for sealing polyethylene, polypropylene and multi-layer compound plastic packaging materials.

1. Connect heat sealer to power supply. Make sure that your machine is the correct voltage (220v or 110v), connecting a 110V machine to a 220V aoutlet will damage the power supply.
2. Turn on the bag sealer using the power switch. The power indication light will light up to indicate the machine has power.
3. Set the time adjustment based on plastic thickness. The thicker the material the longer the sealing time required. If you do not know the sealing time required you may have to experiment with different time settings. Start at a low setting and increase the time setting on progressive seal atempts.
4. Put the material to be sealed on the bottom sealing element. Use the bag stand to assist you in supporting the material you wish to seal (if necessary). Press the pedal to close the top sealing element with the bottom.
5. When the two sealing elements are together the sealing light will turn on. When the sealing light turns off the seal is complete. Release the pedal at this time.
6. Remove the sealed material. Remove from left to right not from back to front. This will reduce the liklihood of damaging the material along the seal.
